How can I keep my garden looking it's very best?

I've been busy in the garden all day, I've mown the lawn, cut the hedge, weeded it out, turned over the soil and planted two new conifer trees. What sort of hints and tips can you give me so as to make sure that my garden always looks it's best? should I be cutting the lawn as much or as little as possible? which plants are ideal for a low maintenance garden?

Thank you so much for your help :)

To keep your garden looking it's very best is..... time. =)

Try to catch weeds early, before they spread..

As far as how often to mow the lawn, that varies... It will depend on the amount of water it's getting. Also, fertilizer.. And the type of grass.

You mentioned low maintenance plants. The first thing that popped into my mind? Hostas! =)

Also... Many variety of shrubs are low maintenance, as well.

Petunias, pansies and Marigolds are great for low maintenance color.

Reply:I would also say little and often. Go out regularly and pull up weeds, as soon as the lawn starts to look a little long mow it and trim hedges as soon as they start to look messy.

Take a look at this page for low maintenance plants.

Reply:The very best thing you can do is 'little and often' Keep the hedge trimmed regularly but don't mow the grass too often.or you'll wear it out. Ornamental grasses are very good, as are small colourful shrubs and plenty of mulch
Reply:You can plant shrubs and perennials. (perennials come back every year...most get bigger %26amp; better every year too.)
Reply:employ a gardener! my rates are very reasonable!
